THE LINE // Who Do You Deny? | Jarrod Cochran

Jesus never said, “Follow your heart.” In Luke 9:23–27, He said: “Deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Me.”

The cross wasn’t a symbol of comfort; it was a death sentence. Following Jesus isn’t about adding Him to your life while staying in control. It’s surrender. It’s dying to pride, selfish ambition, and the version of Christianity that wants a Savior without sacrifice.

Our culture says, “Live your truth.” Jesus says, “Die to yourself.”

You cannot follow yourself and follow Christ at the same time.

Passive, comfortable faith will not survive the days ahead. The question is simple: will you deny yourself—or deny Him?
