You can be busy serving Jesus while slowly drifting away from Him.

In Luke 10:38–42, Martha is working, serving, and preparing - yet Mary chooses something better. She sits at the feet of Jesus and listens.

Martha’s problem wasn’t service. It was allowing service for Christ to replace intimacy with Christ.

That same danger exists today. Church attendance, ministry, Bible studies, volunteering, and religious routines can fill our schedules while our relationship with Jesus quietly grows cold.

Mary chose the good portion deliberately. She stopped. She listened. She learned.

Before we can live the Word, we must know the Word. Before we can know it, we must sit at His feet and listen.
